That cart is most likely a Super Mario Comic Bon Bon prize cartridge. It's appearance matches one I purchased from a legitimate dealer while living in Japan for a significantly higher price. You could probably sell that for four times what you paid for it with some patience. Only 200 were ever made.Regishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01426764745319627256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6892786114932769023.post-43812147381474093352011-06-08T09:09:18.035+09:002011-06-08T09:09:18.035+09:00LOL, yeah, some carts are just "regular"...LOL, yeah, some carts are just "regular" gold:)Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13681778110046124243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6892786114932769023.post-62838284477803354562011-06-08T00:25:39.261+09:002011-06-08T00:25:39.261+09:00Very interesting... If they are still there next time I go to this market I might grab them just for the novelty factor (I don't even have a Famicom...yet :P)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6892786114932769023.post-33979870969485092662011-06-05T18:19:55.805+09:002011-06-05T18:19:55.805+09:00Hey,

Five dollars each might be a good deal though. I'm not too sure though, pirates are actually pretty hard to find in Japan (more of a South East Asia/Chinese thing).Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13681778110046124243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6892786114932769023.post-67856101153091269072011-06-05T14:01:54.980+09:002011-06-05T14:01:54.980+09:00I had a question to pose to you... I was at a market today and came across a small pile of what I think were Famicom carts, they were the right size, shape and endearing bright colors. The thing was they appeared to be 4 in 1 type carts, e.g 4 in 1 Capcom games or 4 in 1 Mario games. The stall holder said his wife got them from Vietnam. Were these likely bootleg carts? He was selling them for AUD$5 each.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6892786114932769023.post-1867428616981793462011-06-04T13:32:02.589+09:002011-06-04T13:32:02.589+09:00Me too. My worry is that even if this is some sort of legitimate, super rare officially released Super Mario Bros. cart, these things look like they would be incredibly easy to fake.

And, as you say, the yellow carts look better!Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13681778110046124243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6892786114932769023.post-3590809087427547112011-06-04T01:04:50.328+09:002011-06-04T01:04:50.328+09:00Hmmmm, I'm feeling skeptical about this one. Regardless, I definitely wouldn't pay $600 for it -- especially since the yellow cart looks a lot nicer :)Bryan Ochallahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16256591698209804728noreply@blogger.com
